The Hill Country Fire Coalition of Texas is an all-volunteer nonprofit established to implement Kendall County’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). What makes us unique is how we began: a group of committed volunteers who recognized the county’s growing wildfire risk and collaborated with local fire departments, governmental and non-governmental agencies, and nonprofit partners to develop the CWPP—at no cost to the County. The Hill Country Fire Coalition of Texas completed their first fiscal year on September 30, 2025. On November 25, 2025, at the Kendall County Commissioners Court, the Coalition released their first annual report.
