About
During Christie's 30-year career with the federal government, she worked in wildland fire and incident management for the US Forest Service's Fire and Aviation Management organization and the US Department of the Interior's Office of Wildland Fire. She was instrumental in creating the Kendall County CWPP and is now leading the Hill Country Fire Coalition of Texas to help the county implement the Plan. The Hill Country Fire Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization and is the first fire-safe type council organization in the State of Texas.

The Hill Country Fire Coalition of Texas completed their first fiscal year on September 30, 2025. On November 25, 2025, at the Kendall County Commissioners Court, the Coalition released their first annual report.
